Mardi HImal Trek is a short and adventurous trekking in Nepal. Mardi Himal Trekking is newly open trekking trails which is located in the Annapurna region. Mardi Himal is situated just to the south of Mt. Machhapuchhre which is popularly known as Fishtail Mountain. Few trekkers have visited the valley and the ridge to the south of Mardi Himal.
The Mardi Himal Trek is a recently-opened pristine trail in the Annapurna region of Nepal. The trail was walked only by shepherds and cattle before 2012. Trekkers follow the ridge above the Modi Khola river draining Annapurna Base Camp. The trail at first winds through dense rhododendron and maple forests rich in bird life. The clearings in the forests offer magnificent view of the Annapurna range. The trail soon climbs above the tree line, offering undisturbed view of snow-covered peaks, including the most spectacular Mt. Fishtial. The changing colors of the peaks at sunset and sunrise appear heavenly. Eventually you will be rewarded with a view of Annapurna I (8,091 meters, 10th highest in the world) and other peaks seen from Annapurna base camp.
